Faro Airport
Passenger processing returns to normal
The system of passenger processing at Faro Airport which required passengers who had collected their luggage to be transported by bus from the baggage reclaim hall to the Parking Area (P6)has now come to an end, with normal operations resuming from 12H00 local time.
In order to ensure this, a tunnel has been built linking the exit of the Customs channel inside the Passenger Terminal to the Parking Area (P6), where the Meeters and Greeters, Tour Operators, Shuttle
Transfer Services and Rent-a-Car Services are located, in order to allow passengers to continue on to their destinations.
ANA - Aeroportos de Portugal would like to stress the high level of support and dedication provided by those working in conjunction with Faro Airport, namely the handlers, security authorities, concession holders and other bodies, in order to guarantee the airport’s operations from 24 October, when the Terminal at Faro Airport was severely affected by an act of nature, and thereby ensuring that the great majority of passengers were able to safely return home or arrive in the
Algarve.
